United Terra, a dynamic energy company focused on expanding their renewable energy options, faced a branding challenge.

With four distinct sub-brands—Oil + Gas, Hydrogen, Solar + Wind, and Trading—they needed a system to differentiate each sub-brand while maintaining overall brand cohesion.

Although they had a strong colour palette and a recognisable icon, a more refined approach was required to effectively communicate their diverse offerings and attract investment.

Solution

To address these challenges, we proposed a comprehensive brand refresh for United Terra. The goal was to update the visual identity while preserving essential elements for current brand recognition and focusing on differentiating the sub-brands.

Enhancing Brand Cohesion and Recognition: We retained key visual elements to ensure continuity and recognition among existing audiences. The update involved refining the colour system to distinctly represent each sub-brand while maintaining a cohesive overall look. This approach ensured that the sub-brands—Oil + Gas, Hydrogen, Solar + Wind, and Trading—could be easily distinguished yet remain unified under the United Terra umbrella.

Revamping Visual Identity: Our refresh included a modernised colour system, updated typography, and strategic art direction. Each sub-brand received its own colour palette, providing a clear visual differentiation while aligning with the core United Terra brand. Typography was chosen to reflect the company’s innovative and forward-thinking ethos, while the art direction focused on clarity and impact.

Communicating Energy Innovation: The new visual identity highlights United Terra’s commitment to renewable energy and their broad range of services. The refreshed brand image supports the company’s mission to attract investment and convey their growth and improvement strategies effectively.

Results: The brand refresh successfully modernised United Terra’s visual identity, enhancing recognition and differentiation among its sub-brands.
